Overview

 

Fielding, Designing, Permitting and Coordination of Outside Plant Projects for Kelly Cable on NM

Responsibilities

  • Engineers utility poles, not limited to loading and make ready work
  • A good understanding of joint pole new attachment permitting
  • A working knowledge of all joint pole regulatory compliance requirements
  • Interpret and analyze drawings, diagrams and maps
  • Experience in the following pole loading programs: O-Calc and EZ-Load
  • Obtain service requests using GIS program.
  • make appropriate calculations
  • Assign attributes of installations for use by field crews.
  • Create quote letters, using standard formats.
  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.
  • deliver continuous Improvement in productivity, safety, quality and cost.
  • Proficiency in the successful mentoring, coaching and discipline of department employees for the improvement of performance and preparation of additional responsibilities.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Job planning and execution for multi project coordination, to include but not limited to timely completion of jobs.
  • Strong communication skills, instructs employees on company core values, company and client policies, and safety policies.
  • Effectively communicates via email, phone and in person with appropriate parties, keeping management and customers apprised of progress, completion and or pertinent issues. 
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to build relationships with employees and clients.

  • Problem solving skills, conflict resolution with an eye towards customer service while keeping company’s best interest in mind.
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to customers and resolve issues.
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office; computer acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and solid team working abilities.
  • Business acumen.

 

 

 

 

 Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of some college courses preferred.
  • 1-5 years construction experience
  • 1 to 3 years’ prior management/supervisory experience
  • 1-3 years customer service experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to evaluate customer needs and product requirements.
  • Experience working with underground utilities preferred.
