Overview

The HR Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management.  The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HR Manager acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HR Manager seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Manager maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

  • Measures and monitors existing policies and procedures; ensures that programs are aligned with culture and keep managers updated on HR initiatives.
    • Manages the full-cycle recruitment process and offboarding process.
    • Develops and implements strategies to address chronic challenges; identifies talent issues before they negatively impact the business.
    • Provides guidance in redesigning the structure around strategic objectives; identifies the next generation of leaders and identifies critical HR metrics.
    • Provides strategic input and solutions to ultimately create a positive and productive work environment, in alignment with business needs.
    • Provides immediate fixes to acute emergencies; prepares in advance for difficult situations and scenarios.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with external partners to further the SiteWise applicant pool.
    • Effectively manages direct reports.
    • Promotes partnerships with all employees and the leadership team to foster a positive work experience to all employees.
    • Oversees and coordinates benefits and leaves of absences policies and practices.
    • Knowledgably responds to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures in a timely manner.
    • Contributes to monthly reporting and company audits.
    • Relays constructive exit interview feedback to managers including coaching regarding improvement plans.
    • Prepare documentation and replies to State unemployment claims, and other government regulatory bodies as needed.
    • Troubleshoots and interacts with benefit vendors.

Qualifications

• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• High level user with Microsoft Office applications, Applicant Tracking Applications, HRIS and Social Media accounts.
• Knowledge of office administration procedures.
• Knowledge of HR best practices.
• Ability to partner with employees and leadership.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.

 

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of human resource related experience.
• Preferred HR certification (SHRM/HRCI/CP/PHR)
